The goal of this project was to study the management of significant change at two academic libraries — Bergen University College Library (HiB) and University of Stavanger Library (UiS) — by looking into workplace learning and information practices over a period of specific change in the two institutions. More specifically, the project studied change, information management and organisational learning as collective, dialogic (Linell 2009) and social processes “that underlie knowledge sharing between the different subunits of a single organisation” (Tagliaventi, BertoloYi and Macrì 2010, 332). Beneficiaries of the project include: • academic libraries and their directors, managers and staff • researchers and practitioners with an interest in change management, information management and workplace learning
