Abstract

Bakgrunn og hensikt: Prosjektgruppen ønsket å utrede nye modeller for organisering av praksisveiledning for å styrke sykepleierstudentenes læringsprosesser i praksisstudier. Praksisveiledning i Helse-Bergen har siden 2001 vært basert på DUE-modellen (dedikert utdanningsenhet), der en ansatt praksisveileder i avdelingen er gitt hovedansvar for studentveiledning og evaluering. På bakgrunn av evaluering av denne modellen, ønsket prosjektgruppen å gjeninnføre og formalisere kontaktsykepleiers rolle i veiledningen og evalueringen av studentene. Prosjektgruppen ønsket også å prøve ut hvordan lærer, kontaktsykepleier og praksisveileder kan være mer komplementære til hverandre. Det er viktig at de ulike rollene rundt studentene benytter sine særegne kompetanser i veiledning av studentene. Prosjektgruppen ville prøve ut veiledningsmetoder og studentaktive arbeidsmetoder som kan styrke utvikling av kritisk tenkning og selvstendighet hos studentene. Prosjektgruppen ønsket også å legge til rette for at veiledere i praksisfeltet fikk videreutvikle sin veilederkompetanse.
