Etterundersøkelser av makrovegetasjon og vannkjemi i Børselva 2016

Abstract

Børselva er regulert og det er foretatt en rekke restaureringstiltak i vassdraget. Formålet med den foreliggende undersøkelsen har vært å undersøke makrovegetasjonen i Børselva og vurdere endringer etter restaureringen. Det er totalt registrert 15 arter i vannvegetasjonen, og den ser ut til å være i svært god tilstand i forhold til eutrofiering. Broddtjønnaks, som var forholdsvis vanlig i Djupvika i 1997, er ikke registrert senere. Børselva er ingen typisk lokalitet for arten og det er lite trolig at den fantes i elva før reguleringen. Så lenge arten fortsatt finnes i gunstigere lokaliteter i regionen, er det ikke nødvendig å ta spesielle hensyn til forekomsten i Børselva. Det er fortsatt store helofyttbestander i elva, og i 2016 dekket de 48% av elvestrengen. Dette er en nedgang siden 1997, og skyldes først og fremst utgraving og fjerning av vegetasjon både øverst i elva og nedstrøms Djupvika. Vannstrømmen nedstrøms Djupvika følger ikke kanalen som ble gravd ut i den østre delen, men går nå dels langs vestre strand og dels midt i elva, og områdene med åpent vann i dette området var betraktelig større i 2016 enn i 2009.

The report describes the diversity and abundance of macrophytes in the regulated river Børselva, including calculations of changes in area cover of helophytes and nymphaeids in the period 1965-2016.
