Abstract

I 2004 utgjorde driftskostnadene til psykisk helsevern 11,4 milliarder kroner. Realveksten fra 2003 til 2004 var på 1,9 prosent. Det var en sterkere vekst i driftskostnadene for tjenester til barn og unge enn til tjenester for voksne, henholdsvis 6,9 og 1,0 prosent. Den samlede personellinnsatsen var 18 619 årsverk i 2004, en økning på om lag 260 årsverk eller 1,4 prosent fra året før. I overkant av 39 300 barn og unge fikk behandling i 2004. Økningen var på 14,2 prosent, som innebærer en økning på 4 900 pasienter. 3,6 prosent av innbyggerne under 18 år mottok et tilbud i 2004, mot 3,2 prosent i 2003. Antall opphold ved døgninstitusjoner for voksne økte med 3 prosent fra 2003 til 2004. Veksten i antall polikliniske konsultasjoner var på ni prosent. I 2004 utførte hver behandler ved poliklinikker for barn og unge 398 tiltak og hadde 30 pasienter til behandling. Dette er en økning på henholdsvis fem og ni prosent fra året før. Ved poliklinikker for voksne utførte hver behandler 395 konsultasjoner i gjennomsnitt, en økning på seks prosent fra året før.
