I Norge har det siden tusenårsskiftet pågått en reformprosess knyttet til utbyggingen av en ny type skoleanlegg, de såkalte baseskolene. Baseskoler med store åpne arealer, som ikke tar utgangspunkt i det tradisjonelle klasserommet, har dukket opp over hele landet. Denne artikkelen vil drøfte hvordan ulike aktører, på bakgrunn av ulike posisjoner og ulike diskurser, forstår baseskolenes muligheter og begrensninger.
