Abstract

Denne utredningens formål er å studere mulighetene for automatisering ved bruk av Robotic Process Automation (RPA) i Solvencia AS. Selskapet vurderer å bruke RPA som et verktøy for effektivisering, strategisk fleksibilitet og kostnadsreduksjon. Undertegnede analyserer i hovedsak syv nøkkelprosesser i selskapet. Disse blir rangert etter hvor attraktive de er for teknologien, og en av prosessene blir valgt ut til et konseptbevis. Utredningen tar for seg grunnleggende teori knyttet til prosessanalyse og -kartlegging. I tillegg gjennomføres en eksplorativ studie av RPA. Herunder gjennomføring av RPA-prosjekter, identifisering av egnede prosesser for teknologien, mulige fallgruver og en introduksjon av programvareleverandører. I oppgaven er det utviklet et metodeverk for å identifisere egnede prosesser for RPA. Metodeverket er bygget på det teoretiske fundamentet som er lagt i oppgaven. Det brukes primært for å analysere prosesser i fire dimensjoner: Egnethet, implementeringstid, og kvalitative- og kvantitative gevinster. Datainnsamlingen i metodeverket skjer gjennom personlige intervjuer med håndplukkede prosesseksperter. Analysene tar utgangspunkt i RPA SM og gjennomføres i Microsoft Excel. Ved å gjennomføre grundige analyser av prosessene blir det skapt et solid beslutningsgrunnlag for interessentene i Solvencia. Det er i tillegg valgt ut en egnet prosess for et konseptbevis. Denne prosessen er kartlagt i detalj gjennom en grundig prosessdokumentasjon og et flytdiagram. Resultatene fra datainnsamlingen viser at det i studiet er identifisert flere prosesser som er svært godt egnet for RPA. En automatisering av prosessene kan frigjøre flere årsverk og gi gode kvalitative- og kvantitative gevinster. Hvis Solvencia eventuelt ønsker å gå videre med et RPA-prosjekt gir studiet et solid utgangspunkt. Dette er skapt gjennom analyser, detaljert prosessdokumentasjon, og en rekke konkrete anbefalinger i form av aksjoner.
