Abstract

Amfibielandsettingen i Inchon 15. september 1950 er kanskje det oftest benyttede eksempelet på suksessfull operasjonell manøver. General Douglas MacArthur snudde der en vanskelig situasjon for FN og de sør-koreanske styrkene i Pusan perimeteret til seier over den nord-koreanske arméen, og gjenopprettet grensen ved den 38. breddegrad i løpet av to uker. Siden det er 65 år siden det hendte, og at en ny langtidsmelding for Forsvaret skal vedtas av Stortinget våren 2016 er det betimelig å vie hendelsen og hva den betyr i dag ny oppmerksomhet.
