Abstract

En vedvarende utfordring i helse- og sosialfaglige profesjonsutdanninger er integrering av teori- og praksisstudier. Studentene må sikres tilgang til relevante oppgaver, roller og fremgangsmåter for læring. En lite brukt tilnærming er praksisstudier på egen arbeidsplass. Dersom studentene kan ta utgangspunkt i en kjent praksishverdag, kan det lette arbeidet med å integrere teori- og praksisstudier, og derigjennom heve studiekvaliteten i profesjonsutdanning. I denne artikkelen analyseres erfaringer fra et prosjekt i tilknytning til deltidsutdanning i vernepleie ved Høgskolen i Telemark. Resultatene viser at praksisstudier på egen arbeidsplass ble positivt vurdert både av utdanningsinstitusjon, praksissteder og studenter. Det er imidlertid behov for mer forskning på forutsetninger for at tilnærmingen skal gi ønskede resultater og ha overføringsverdi til andre utdanningstilbud
