Abstract

Hensikten med oppgaven var å designe et LNG-fartøy som skal effektivisere distribusjonen av LNG. Dette LNG-fartøyet består av to deler, en pusher og en lekter. I sammenkoblet modus vil de fungere som et vanlig skip, men de skal også kunne operere uavhengig av hverandre. De vil i sammenkoblet modus ankomme en forbruker av LNG, deretter vil pusheren koble seg fra lekteren, slik at lekteren blir tømt hos forbruker mens pusheren tar med seg en tom lekter tilbake til produsent for å fylles opp igjen. Et slikt system vil dermed trenge to, eller flere lektere per pusher.
