Voksenrollen og sosial kompetanse i barnehagen.

Authors: Westbye, Siv;

Voksenrollen og sosial kompetanse i barnehagen.

Abstract

English: This thesis is about how kindergarten staff can help children who struggle with internalized behavior in the face of peer children, so that they get a good interaction. The purpose of the exercise is to put the spotlight on those children with internalized behavior which unfortunately is rarely mentioned, and often overlooked by both adult and other children. The issue is: "How can kindergarten staff promote social competence for 3-4 year olds, who are struggling with internalized behavior in kindergarten? » Studies show that children who are quiet and have internalized behavior is so easy to deal with, that they are often overlooked and sometimes forgotten. The result of this thesis shows that some think one must possess a certain amount of social competence to function in collaboration with others, and to acquire social competence, they need the guidance of staff to assert themselves. And therefore they are depending on appreciative adults who see the children and, give a lot of positive attention.
