IT-bruk ved NTNU : En analyse av hvordan informasjonsteknologi brukes ved NTNU i 2008

Abstract

De t er gjennomført intervjuer med 30 utvalgte IT-brukere ved NTNU. På bakgrunn av den informasjon som er framkommet gjennom disse intervjuene er det gjennomført en analyse av i hvilken grad situasjonen oppleves tilfredsstillende innen fire områder: Basis IT-funksjoner, IT-støtte for merkantile prosesser, Administrativ støtte for primærvirksomheten og Faglig støtte for primærvirksomheten. Hovedinntrykket etter analysen er at NTNU fremstår som en meget avansert IT-bruker når det gjelder laboratoriestøtte i utvidet betydning, dvs. støtte til utøvelsen av forskningsaktiviteter. Det ser imidlertid ut til at NTNU har liten oppmerksomhet på IKT og læring og har ingen innarbeidet policy i forhold til dette. Fra sentralt hold er det mye oppmerksomhet omkring administrative IT verktøy, men situasjonen preges av mange ulike systemer, kompliserte avhengigheter, krevende brukergrensesnitt og en utviklingsprosess som ser ut til å foregå uten nødvendig helhetsforståelse og mangel på brukerkontakt. Analysen har avdekket flere områder med uavklarte ansvarsforhold.
