Abstract

Rapporten redegjør for oppfølgende miljøundersøkelser i ferskvann i nærområdet til Kollsnes prosessanlegg i 2013. Som en del av et langsiktig overvåkingsprogram omfattet undersøkelsene kjemiske og biologiske forhold i to innsjøer. Innsjøene Stølevatn og Steinsvatn var begge næringsfattige. Tilstand med hensyn på eutrofiering etter Vannforskriften kan karakteriseres som Svært god for begge. I Steinsvatn medfører vannstandsvariasjoner likevel redusert mangfold og utbredelse av makrofytter. Innholdet av nitrogenforbindelser har variert tidligere år, men var ved undersøkelsene i 2013 lavt, og endringene fra 2008 var ubetydelige. I begge innsjøer viser målingene en svak bedring i pH og en økning i innhold av organisk karbon (brunere farge). Begge innsjøene er preget av tette bestander av stingsild, og begge hadde høy algebiomasse september i forhold til mengde næringssalter. Undersøkelser av vannplanter indikerer at innsjøene er påvirket av forsuring, men dette kan ikke tilskrives deposisjon av nitrogenoksider.
