Klassifisering av vannforekomster som ikke har målte data – forsuring av innsjøer

Abstract

I forbindelse med arbeidet påkrevet av Vanndirektivet skal fylkene klassifisere alle Norges 17 000 vannforekomster med henblikk på økologisk tilstand. I mange tilfeller vil dette innebære en vurdering av forsuringsstatus. For mange vannforekomster finnes hverken biologiske eller kjemiske data. Da trengs det en enkel metode for å estimere forsuringsstatus. En mulighet er å bruke kart over tålegrenser og overskridelse av tålegrenser. Rutenettet for tålegrensekart er ca. 12 x 12 km. Man antar da at alle innsjøer innen en rute har tilnærmet lik vannkjemisk og biologisk tilstand. Her er det utarbeidet et regneark til formålet. Brukeren trenger da bare å oppgi innsjøens bredde- og lengdegrad og vil enkelt finne ut hvilken rute som er aktuell for å lese av overskridelser og forsuringsstatus. Regnearket kan lastes ned fra NIVAs internettside sammen med rapporten.
