Vurdering av utslippspunkter for klorert drikkevann fra Langlia vannbehandlingsanlegg

Abstract

VAV har forespurt NIVA om å gjøre en utredning av mulige utslippspunkter for klorert drikkevann langs en drikkevannsledning fra Langlia vannbehandlingsanlegg. Konsentrasjoner av fritt klor i drikke­vannsledningen var stort sett under deteksjons­grensen (10 µg/l). Total klorrest hadde ved øverste målepunkt en konsentrasjon på omkring 100 µg/l, men var redusert til omkring 25 - 40 µg/l ved nederste målepunkt, Skuggen ved Bogstadvannet, som er dagens utslippspunkt. Konsentrasjonsutviklingen nedover i vassdraget ved utslipp til Heggelielva eller Sørkedalselva ble estimert ved en modell­beregning. Med Heggelielva som utslippspunkt vil konsentrasjonene av total klorrest i elva kunne overstige internasjonale anbefalinger. Utslippet ved Skuggen skjer i dag til en liten bekk som renner direkte ut i Bogstadvannet. Dyreliv i bekken og lokalt ved utløpet av bekken til Bogstadvannet kan være påvirket. Det er lite sannsynlig at økosystemet i Bogstadvannet eller en nærliggende offentlig badeplass blir vesentlig påvirket. Vi anbefaler derfor at det klorerte drikkevannet slippes ut ved Skuggen som i dag.
