Sammeligning av to analysemetoder for CO2 i intensiv

Abstract

NIVA har på oppdrag fra Marine Harvest sammenlignet en kit-basert målemetode for CO2 (La Motte) med NIVAs lab-metode i ferskvann, brakkvann og sjøvann i to smoltanlegg. Bakgrunnen for undersøkelsen var en fremdeles pågående diskusjon om målemetodikk og grenseverdier for negative effekter av CO2 i intensiv smoltproduksjon. Ut i fra de sammenhenger som er framkommet i det analyserte materialet konkluderer vi med at La Motte kit målinger av CO2 kan egne seg som operasjonelt verktøy for sammenligning av verdier innen en og samme vannkvalitet uten CO2-lufting. Vi kan vanskelig se at sammenligning mellom målinger i vann med ulik salinitet eller med CO2-lufting vil være hensiktsmessig, gitt de relativt store avvik og usikkerheter som er knyttet til dette.
