Undersøkelse av mulig forurensning fra nedlagte deponi - Bråstad, Aust-Agder

Abstract

Det er gjennomført en undersøkelse for å kartlegge forurensningssituasjonen knyttet til et nedlagt deponi ved Bråstad i Arendal kommune. Resultatene fra undersøkelsen viser at det transporteres noe organisk stoff, metaller og små mengder hydrokarboner via sigevann og bekkevann. Av metaller er det jern og mangan som dominerer. Det ble ikke funnet flyktige organiske komponenter (VOC) eller alifatiske hydrokarboner. Konsentrasjonene av polysykliske aromatiske hydrokarboner (PAH) og BTEX-forbindelsene var lave. Det ble funnet spor av polyklorerte bifenyler PCB i sedimentprøver. Ut fra terrengformasjoner og grunnforhold er de mest sannsynlige spredningsveiene kartlagt. Undersøkelsen vår indikerer at det ikke foregår noen omfattende transport av miljøfarlige stoffer ut fra deponiet, og at deponiet derfor ikke representerer noen stor miljørisiko.
