Abstract

For å få bedre oversikt over det sure sidevassdraget Møskas betydning for fiskens vannkjemiske leveforhold i nedre del av Lygna er det gjennomført en enkel hydrologisk og kjemisk kartlegging for å dokumentere blandingsforholdet mellom de to vassdragsgrenene. Målingene som er foretatt i Lygna nedstrøms innløpet av det sure sidevassdraget Møska viser tidvis en klar effekt på vannkjemien i blandsonen, men at det var store forskjeller mellom prøvetakingsdatoene og de ulike prøvetakingspunktene i elva. De målte kalsiumkonsentrasjonene nedenfor samløpet tyder på at vannet fra Møska ikke var fullstendig blandet inn hovedelva ved utløpet til sjøen, ca. 1 km nedenfor blandingspunktet. Vannkvalitetene i blandsonen ble vurdert som potensielt skadelige for laks ved to av fire prøvetakingsdatoer. På grunn av stor dag-til-dag variasjon, vil vannkvaliteten i det aktuelle området trolig kunne påvirke fangstutviklingen, men ikke forhindre reetablering av laks i vassdraget. Det er foreslått noe faglig oppfølging av undersøkelsen og antydet mulige tiltak for å redusere/eliminere potensielle vannkvalitetsproblemer i blandsonen.
