Tilgroing og vannkvalitet i Herstrømbukta, Nedre Eiker

Abstract

NIVA har undersøkt vegetasjonsendringer og vannkvalitet i Herstrømbukta. Det er påvist en viss tilgroing med sumpplanter, men en tilbakegang av neddykkede planter. Undersøkelsen viser at vannkvaliteten er sterkt utilfredsstillende og at vannutskiftningen i lokaliteten styres av tidevannsstrømmer. Det er utilstrekkelig vannutskiftning mellom de tre delbassengene i Herstrømbukta. Rapporten skisserer tiltak for å rette på forholdene og sikre at områdets naturverdier bevares.
