Kriterier og dokumentasjon for to hygieniske barrierer i vannforsyning

Abstract

Drikkevann er et livsnødvendig medium, og eksponering av helseskadelige forbindelser via drikkevann er derfor svært uheldig. Målet er at det ikke skal finnes slike forbindelser i drikkevann. Forskrift om vannforsyning og drikkevann m.m. (Sosial og helsedepartementet 1995) stiller krav til at forbrukerne skal sikres hygienisk betryggende drikkevann. Dette skal blant annet sikres ved at det stilles krav om "to hygieniske barrierer". Denne studien har vært et internt forskningsprosjekt ved NIVA for å undersøke nærmere hva som ligger i begrepet "to hygieniske barrierer" i norsk drikkevannsforsyning. Denne litteraturstudien tar hovedsakelig for seg litt om selve begrepet "hygieniske barrierer", hva drikkevannsforskriften sier, hva som skal hindres og dokumentasjon for effekten av enkelte barrierer.
