Abstract

Vannkvaliteten i Teinåa og grunnvannet under avfallsdeponiet ROE I er undersøkt ved to anledninger i 1996. Det ble samlet inn vannprøver fra Teinåa oppstrøms og nedstrøms deponiet, samt fra tre grunnvannsstasjoner. Grunnvannstanden og vannstanden i Teinåa ble målt. Både grunnvannstanden og vannstanden i Teinåa var lav på begge prøvetakingsdager. Vannet i Teinåa er surt og betydelig påvirket av humusstoffer fra nedbørfeltet. Konsentrasjonene av metaller og miljøgifter var av samme størrelsesorden oppstrøms og nedstrøms deponiet, men systematisk ble svakt høyere verdier observert nedstrøms. Grunnvannet hadde til dels høyere konsentrasjoner av metaller på den første prøvetakingsdag (oktober) enn på den siste (desember). På en av grunnvannsstasjonen var PAH-konsentrasjonene forhøyet. Med bakgrunn i de foreliggende overvåkingsresultater, blir vannet i Teinåa i liten grad påvirket av forurensninger fra deponiet. Forholdene i 1996 er i så måte lite avvikende fra tidligere overvåkingsundersøkelser.
