Abstract

På bakgrunn av forsuringssituasjonen i Guddalsvassdraget i Sogn og Fjordane er det utarbeidet en kalkingsplan for å bedre forholdene for laks og innlandsfisk i vassdraget. Planen er utarbeidet på en slik måte at den kan bygges ut etterhvert. Vi anbefaler at Hovlandsdalsvatnet kalkes opp og at innsjøen vedlikeholds kalkes fra en pH-styrt doserer ved Tulandsbotnen. I tillegg anbefales kalking av flere mindre innsjøer i midtre og indre del og av to sidevassdrag i nedre del. Vi foreslår at et av disse sidevassdragene terrengkalkes. Oppkalking av Hovlandsdalsvatn vil koste omlag 0.66 mill. kr., mens de årlige driftskostnadene for doserer ved Tuland er anslått til 0.96 mill. kr. Terrengkalking av det lO km² store Hovlandsdalen-feltet med 1 tonn kalk/ha vil koste omlag 1.2 mill. kr. og antas å kunne ha en varighet på omkring 5 år. Vi anbefaler vannkvalitetskontroll etter kalking.
