Tiltak mot forsuring av Jørpelandselva. Kalkingsplan

Abstract

På bakgrunn av forsuringssituasjonen i Jørpelandsvassdraget er det utarbeidet en kalkingsplan for Jørpelandselva nedenfor Liarvatn. Planen er utarbeidet i 3 ulike alternativer, basert på dagens vassdragsregulering og to utbyggingsalternativer (alternativ II og III) som er til konsesjonsbehandling. Jørpelandselva er foreslått kalket ved hjelp av en kalkdoserer, plassert ved utløpet av Dalavatn (ved dagens regulering), eller ved utløp av Liarvatn (alternativ II og III). Ved dagens regulering vil det kreves omlag 500 tonn kalk årlig for å oppnå tilstrekkelig god vannkvalitet for reproduksjon av laks i elva. Det er anslått investeringskostnader på 1,3 mill. kr til innkjøp og oppføring av doseringsanlegg ved dette alternativet og årlige utgifter på kr 410.000, til kalk og serviceavtaler.
