Abstract

Overvåking av vannkjemien i Sørfjorden i 1992 viser at tungmetallnivåene generelt var noe lavere enn i 1991, med unntak av bly, som viser økte konsentrasjoner både i overflaten og i dypvannet i hele fjorden. Dette må settes i sammenheng med økt utslipp av bly i 1992, sammenlignet med 1991. På grunn av anleggsarbeid på Eitrheimsneset i Etrheimsvågen, var 1992 et spesielt år med ustabile forhold og store skiftinger i tilførsler. Blant annet ble det dumpet store mengder forurenset vann til Eitrheimsvågen på slutten av året i forbindelse med sluttføringen av oppryddingen i vågen. I 1993 forventes forholdene å stabilisere seg.
