Undersøkelse av Storvatnet Nord som råvannskilde for Harstad Vannverk

Abstract

Storvatnet Nord er råvannskilde for Harstad vannverk. I 1988 ble det foretatt en undersøkelse av innsjøens vannkvalitet samt en undersøkelse og vurdering av forurensningskilder i nedbørfeltet. Vannet har stort sett en god drikkevannskvalitet. Vanninntaket bør plasseres på et større dyp bl. a. for å unnvike tilfeldig forurensningspåvirkninger. Vannet har et relativt høyt innhold av visse tungmetaller. Årsaken til dette bør undersøkes. De gjeldende klausuleringsbestemmelsene er tilstrekkelige under forutsetning av at de etterleves. Råvannet må desinfiseres før bruk.
