Audna og Snigsfjorden. Vannkvalitet 1981-1986

Abstract

Vannkvaliteten i Audna er påvirket av sur nedbør, avrenning fra landbruk, boligkloakk og kalking. Elva er på enkelte stasjoner belastet med tarmbakterier. Nitrogeninnholdet var høyt, vesentlig som følge av forurenset nedbør. Fosforkonsentrasjonen var lav, mens pH-verdiene var rimelig høye som følge av kalkingen. Begroingsobservasjonene viste markert forurensningspåvirkning ved Konsmo, forøvrig var påvirkningen liten/moderat. Kalkingen hadde liten effekt på begroingssamfunnet. Det var planktonproduksjon og fare for gassdannelse i de øvre vannmassene i Snigsfjorden, men det var høye hydrogensulfidkonsentrasjoner i dypvannet. Vannkvaliteten i ytre Snigsfjorden og ved Tjøme var god.
