Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven handler om hvordan ansatte i skolen arbeider med helsefremming for enslige mindreårige asylsøkere ut fra opplæringsloven Kapittel 9A-1 om å fremme elevenes fysiske, og psykososiale helse. Formålet med studien var å få innsikt i, kunnskap om og forståelse for hvordan ansatte i skolen arbeidet for å fremme enslige mindreårige asylsøkeres fysiske, psykiske og psykososiale helse. Kvalitativ metode ble brukt. Det ble gjennomført to fokusgruppeintervju med semistrukturert intervjuguide, materialet ble transkribert og analysert ut fra studiens fenomenologiske ståsted, og funn ble sett i lys av teoretisk rammeverk. Funn bekreftet det som var forventet ut fra ansattes arbeid med helsefremming, og indikerte et behov for å styrke enslige mindreårige asylsøkeres psykiske helse i skolen.
