Abstract

I denne oppgaven er materialet UNS S32003 (AL 2003 TM) isotermt varmebehandlet ved 800 °C, ved tidene 0.25, 0,5, 1, 2, 3,10, 100 timer. Det ble sett på korrosjonsegenskapene og forandring i mikrostrukturen med hovedvekt på Cr2N og σ-fasen. Korrosjonstesten som ble utført var syklisk polarisasjons test, formålet var ikke å bestemme pittingkorrosjonspotensialet eller beskyttelsespotensialet, men å se på arealet på kurven som representerer antall initierte pitting-groper. Når det gjelder korrosjonstestingen kom det frem at fra 0.25 til 10 timer er det mer eller mindre konstant antall initierte groper, noe som tyder på at tiden ikke har mye å si for antallet initierte groper i dette temperatur intervallet. Ved 100 timer dropper antallet initieringsgroper betraktelig Når det gjelder mikrostrukturen viser den store forandringer ved de forskjellige temperaturene. Etter 15 min dannes Cr2N langs ferritt-ferritt (α/α) korngrensene, denne trenden er tilstede opp til 3 timer. Fra 10 til 100 timer viser det at Cr2N går i oppløsning i σ-fasen. I ferritten ved 100 timer utgjør σ-fasen 30-40 % av volumfraksjonen. Austenitt viser nesten ingen tegn til forandring, men det har kommet noen få utfellinger som er Crrike
