Abstract

Det norske arbeidsmarkedet er preget av høyt sysselsettingsnivå sammenlignet med de fleste andre europeiske land. Andelen deltidssysselsatte er imidlertid høy, særlig for kvinner. Etter årtusenskiftet har den markerte økningen i sykefraværet skapt debatt. Det er færre som opplever konflikter med ledelsen eller konflikter ansatte imellom, men det er også en nedgang i graden av selvbestemmelse over noen viktige sider ved arbeidet. Menn har større selvbestemmelse i jobben enn kvinner.
