Innvandrere blir værende i fattigdom : økonomisk fattigdom blant innvandrere

Abstract

Andelen fattige innvandrere gikk ned fra 19 til 12 prosent mellom 1993 og 2007, mens andelen fattige i befolkning for øvrig gikk ned fra 3 til 2 prosent. Nedgangen i antall fattige henger sammen med gunstige arbeidsmarkedsforhold og jevn økning i yrkesinntektene i denne perioden. Andelen fattige blir også lavere når verdien av kommunale tjenester inkluderes som del av innvandrernes inntekt. Men likevel opplever mange innvandrere vedvarende fattigdom.
