Trykkreduseringsstasjon for CNG

Abstract

I denne oppgaven blir forhold vedrørende problemstilling knyttet til trykkredusering av CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). Sentrale punkter er løsninger som hindrer dannelse av kondensat og hydrat. I forsøk til løsning blir det skissert fire ulike alternativ, hvor av et løsningsforslag velges. Det blir lagt vekt på driftsikkerhet i valg av løsningsforslag. Forslag I skisserer en løsning hvor gassen har to alternative løp å velge. Dette er en enkel løsning som baseres på samme prinsipp som dagens trykkredusering. Forskjellen ligger i at det legges opp til et reserveløp som kan benyttes ved skade. Valget av løsningsforslag danner basis for videre oppgaveløsning. Det utføres manuelle utregninger og beregninger ved hjelp av HYSYS (avansert simuleringssprogram). Resultatene fra disse to utregningsmetodene sammenlignes avslutningsvis i en diskusjon vedrørende sluttingene belyst gjennom kildekritiske aspekter. I konklusjonen framgår det at denne oppgaven ikke kunne avdekke nevneverdige forskjeller mellom de to kalkuleringsmetodene. Årsaken til dette er gassen som ble benyttet i denne oppgaven hadde blant annet lette hydrokarboner som gjør at hydrat- og kondensasjondannelse ikke oppstår så lett. Selv om dette er resultatet etter denne gjennomgangen kan man ikke gå ut fra at dette alltid er tilfellet.
