Kompromisset, politisk løsning uten legitimitet?

Abstract

Norsk: Kompromisset er resultat av (vellykkede) forhandlinger. Men hva er et kompromiss og hvilken status har det som politisk løsning? Er det ”den høyeste politiske eller demokratiske dyd”, ”einer der grössten Erfindungen der Menschheit”, eller er det resultat av ”annenrangs politikk”? Meningene er altså delte. I dette notatet vil det bli fokusert på en bestemt side ved kompromisset: Hva er det som eventuelt legitimerer kompromisset? Diskusjonen er påvirket av Jürgen Habermas’ kommunikative teori som legger til grunn at det alltid vil være problematisk å legitimere et produkt av strategiske (for)handlinger. Forfatteren viser imidlertid at også i slike forhandliger kan en finne ”snev” av kommunikative handlinger, noe som bidrar til å legitimere kompromisset.
