Lutvann-undersøkelsen En case-studie om uteskolens didaktikk

Abstract

English: The main purpose of the Lutvann-survey is to throw some light on the pedagogical theory and practice which has been developed at Lutvann School in outdoor education. Lutvann School, a primary school in Oslo, introduced outdoor education as a working method in 1995 as an important element in the teaching. One day a week throughout the school year the pupils and teachers use the local environment and local society as a teaching resource to complement and enrich the teaching going on indoors - in the classroom. We take the general didactic as a starting point of the survey, and will throw light on the all-important didactical questions of why (reasons and purpose), what (content), how (methodes and organisation) and where (learning environment) concerning outdoor education. Outdoor education is a working method which has been widely spread in the Norwegian primary school the last years, but we have little research based knowledge about outdoor education and what kind of practice that have been established in school. The Lutvann-survey aims to make a contribution to this. This report gives a complete presentation of the background of the survey and its goals, problems for discussion, methods and its theory basis.
