De erosie van Made in Germany

Abstract

De combinatie van arbeidsmarkthervormingen en loonmatiging zorgde in Duitsland na de eeuwwisseling voor een halvering van de groeivoeten van de toegevoegde waarde per arbeidsuur en voor een hogere banen- groei. De Duitse arbeidsmarkthervormingen via het Hartz-programma hebben echter een negatieve impact op het functioneren van het innovatiemodel - gericht op routinematige innovatie - waarmee Duitsland in het verleden het ijzersterke kwaliteitsimago van Made in Germany kon opbouwen.
