Het wetsvoorstel implementatie Databankrichtlijn

Abstract

Op 20 juli 1998 is bij de Tweede Kamer ingediend een wetsvoorstel tot aanpassing van de Nederlandse wetgeving aan de Europese Databankrichtlijn. Het voorstel strekt tot invoering van een afzonderlijke wet (een nieuwe Wet bescherming producent van databanken), waarin het sui generis databankrecht zijn beslag zal krijgen. Daarnaast voorziet het voorstel in aanpassing van de Auteurswet 1912. In dit artikel worden de hoofdlijnen van het wetsvoorstel besproken.
