De indirecte pulpa-overkapping, een waardevolle vitale pulpatherapie?

Abstract

Veranderende inzichten omtrent de etiologie en pathogenese van dentinecariës hebben geleid tot een minder invasieve benadering van diepe carieuze dentinelaesies. Werden deze laesies vroeger op geleide van hardheid, verkleuring en kleurbaarheid geëxcaveerd, tegenwoordig hanteert men een meer pulpavriendelijke methode. Hierbij wordt een deel van het carieuze dentine op het pulpale vlak achtergelaten om pulpa-expositie te vermijden. In deze bijdrage wordt ingegaan op verschillende behandelopties voor ver voortgeschreden laesies en deze worden op waarde geschat.
