Manejo ambiental de biosólidos para uso agrícola

Abstract

Los lodos residuales son compuestos orgánicos que son removidos en los procesos de las plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, éstos consisten de materia orgánica, nutrientes, minerales disueltos, microorganismos patógenos y contaminantes tóxicos. Cuando a estos lodos se les da un tratamiento para remover los microorganismos patógenos y otros constituyentes dañinos, el resultado de este tratamiento es un material orgánico rico en nutrientes llamado biosólido. El objetivo de este trabajo es investigar las propiedades físicas y químicas de los biosólidos acondicionados con clinoptilolita para poder utilizar este recurso en actividades agrícolas.
