Abstract

Las enfermedades neurodegenerativas constituyen un problema de gran magnitud, gravedad y complejidad bio-psico-político-social por lo que son precisas actuaciones en los distintos ámbitos del sistema sanitario y social. Desde el Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad se entiende que las Estrategias constituyen un adecuado instrumento para abordar este tipo de cuestiones de gran carga y sufrimiento personal, familiar y/o social, y ello por varias razones: involucran a todos: Administraciones, sociedades científicas y pacientes; exigen consenso para establecer objetivos, planes de actuación e indicadores de seguimiento; se basan en la mejor evidencia científica disponible, lo que asegura una alta calidad de sus propuestas; y son un instrumento dinámico que permite su revisión, actualización y mejora continua.
