Datos para la historia de la UNESCO : XIV : 1948: el desarrollo de una gran tarea

Abstract

Se hace un repaso a los acuerdos alcanzados en la segunda Conferencia General de la Unesco, celebrada en México entre noviembre y diciembre de 1947. Se detallan los proyectos llevados a cabo en lo que se refiere a la reconstitución en materia de educación, ciencia y cultura. Asimismo, becas y otras iniciativas se ejecutaron con el fin de favorecer el intercambio de personas y la difusión del pensamiento. Se pusieron en marcha proyectos de educación de adultos, educación superior y formación del profesorado. Se llevaron a cabo líneas de acción sobre intercambios culturales y artísticos, museos e investigaciones sobre etnología. En cuanto a las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas, se ejecutó un proyecto sobre los estados de tensión y la comprensión internacional. Finalmente, en cuanto a las Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, se desarrolló una conferencia para favorecer el 'Desarrollo Científico', se concedieron créditos a organismos científicos y se abogó por la creación de uniones científicas internacionales.
