Abstract

En ésta decimosegunda entrega de la historia de la Unesco, se revisa el Programa aprobado en la Primera Conferencia General que celebró la Unesco en 1946 en París. Se llevaron a cabo acciones en torno a la educación, la ciencia y la cultura. Se preparó un plan mundial para luchar contra el analfabetismo, planes para la educación de adultos, la revisión de los programas de estudio y las condiciones del profesorado. Se planearon programas para mejorar la organización de las bibliotecas. Se desarrollaron programas de cooperación científica en ciencias exactas, fisicoquímicas y naturales y ciencias sociales e iniciativas singulares en cuanto a la Filosofía, Humanidades, Artes y Letras.
