Publicidad y consumo de alimentos en estudiantes de Huánuco (Perú)

Abstract

La población infantil de Huánuco (Perú) continúa exponiéndose a la publicidad televisiva que induce al consumo de productos sin valor nutritivo y genera alteraciones nutricionales en los escolares como desnutrición, obesidad y sobrepeso de forma considerable. Por otra parte, el desequilibrio nutricional, conlleva enfermedades desde una edad temprana y contribuye a perpetuar el subdesarrollo de la población con una baja calidad de vida. Partiendo de esta realidad, se elabora un proyecto de investigación cuyo objetivo es analizar, desde una perspectiva comunicacional, la relación entre publicidad televisiva y consumo de alimentos publicitados y las repercusiones de este consumo para la salud. Los resultados del estudio permiten efectuar algunas recomendaciones referidas a nivel empresarial, políticas de educación y políticas de salud.
