El desarrollo de la competencia matemática

Abstract

Se aborda el problema del desarrollo de la competencia matemática del segundo ciclo de enseñanza secundaria. El diseño curricular por competencias implica un cambio en la metodología de enseñanza, que en principio permitiría mitigar la alta tasa de fracaso en esta área. Asimismo, se comentan los resultados del informe PISA 2006 y se explican las posibles causas de la escasa influencia para mejorar los resultados, pese a la aplicación de las nuevas teorías pedagógicas. La competencia matemática como eje curricular podría resolver este problema si se combina con medidas complementarias..
