Abstract

Se intenta demostrar que la enseñanza de las Ciencias realizada de forma globalizada, activa e intuitiva, puede constituir un valioso instrumento al servicio del alumno, siendo el profesor pieza clave del aprendizaje. Las Ciencias Naturales en EGB deben alcanzar dentro de los objetivos específicos: consecución de la capacidad expresiva y comprensiva, formación del pensamiento científico, fomento del interés por la Naturaleza y por el mundo circundante, comprensión por parte del alumno del hábitat físico que le rodea; creación en el alumno de hábitos formales de razonamiento específicos de las ciencias naturales, que le permitan pensar correctamente sobre las causas y los fenómenos de la naturaleza. Esta adquisición de conocimientos fundamentales se realiza a través de unidades didácticas globalizadas de manera que los alumnos trabajen contenidos diversos pero interrelacionados entre sí evitando la dispersión de conocimientos. Examina el papel del trabajo con unidades globalizadas refiriéndose a que deben estar motivadas para captar la atención de los alumnos, basadas en la realidad circundante, que estimulen las energías personales del alumno, e intuitivas.
