'Las reservas de la biosfera'

Abstract

Las reservas de la biosfera se definen dentro del Proyecto número 8 sobre 'conservación de las áreas naturales y del material genérico que contienen', que a se ubica dentro del Proyecto 'Hombre y Biosfera' de la Unesco. Las reservas de la biosfera tienen tres objetivos: conservar para el hombre toda la diversidad vegetal y animal de la comunidad a la que pertenece, disponer de áreas para investigaciones relacionadas con el medio ambiente y proporcionar educación y formación para procurar la protección de las reservas. Se explican las particularidades que debe reunir un área para poder constituirse como reserva de la biosfera. Se reseñan las actividades del Comité del Programa 'Hombre y Biosfera' en orden a la propuesta y declaración de las reservas de la biosfera acreditadas por España: Parque Nacional de Ordesa-Viñamala, Parque Natural de Montseny, Doñana y Tablas de Daimiel, Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Marisma del Odiell y Reserva de la Biosfera del Canal y los Tiles.
