El plan de desarrollo educativo en Africa

Abstract

Se propone un plan de desarrollo para el continente africano. Africa necesita un gran impulso para ponerse al mismo nivel que los otros continentes. Para llegar a este progreso y desarrolla debe comenzar por el primer peldaño: la educación. No puede haber progreso si no hay desarrollo educativo. Se recoge el contenido de un informe de la UNESCO al respecto, editado con motivo de la Conferencia de Estados Africanos. De los gobiernos participantes, 35 son africanos, 4 europeos, y 24 gobiernos lo hicieron en calidad de observadores. Además participaron otras 10 instituciones de la ONU y 24 organizaciones internacionales no gubernamentales. El informe está dividido en siete capítulos, que son los siguientes: inventario de las necesidades del desarrollo económico y social africano relativas a la educación; la enseñanza, considerada como base del desarrollo económico y social; modo y funcionamiento de la cooperación internacional para el desarrollo de la enseñanza; financiación y desarrollo de la enseñanza en África; proceso de la planificación de la enseñanza; características de la enseñanza general que responda a las exigencias de una formación técnica y profesional especializada; y por último, la educación de adultos.
