El examen de ingreso en el bachillerato

Abstract

Se estudia el examen de ingreso en el bachillerato, en concreto diversos factores sociales que llevan a que se esté replanteando su funcionalidad social. Un cierto mejoramiento del bienestar, la creciente emigración del campo a la ciudad y la necesidad de una mayor cantidad de personas instruidas, han provocado que el número de escolares de enseñanza media se haya duplicado en el último decenio. Los nuevos escolares no proceden de las clases pudientes. Los Colegios no pueden hacer frente a este alud de estudiantes. La recepción de estudiantes en los Institutos plantea cuestiones que atañen: a los locales, al profesorado y a la selección de los alumnos. Por el momento la única solución es realizar una selección rigurosa entre los candidatos. Sin embargo esto tiene el inconveniente de que el niño en temprana edad, se ve sometido ya a una prueba de gran importancia para su futuro. Se apuntan otros problemas del sistema como que la actual prueba del examen de ingreso, no ofrece garantías para escoger con acierto los futuros bachilleres, y si, en cambio, es mala orientadora de la preparación de los alumnos. Como conclusión al problema se señala que la sociedad está en cambio y a pesar de su sensibilidad igualitaria, el mundo camina inexorablemente a estratificaciones sociales y que el acceso a estos poderosos estratos sociales exige competencia.
