Gitanos y religión

Abstract

El Evangelio Pentecostalista gitano es un movimiento religioso que en los últimos años ha adquirido, y prevemos que adquirirá, mucha importancia en la definición del papel y las actitudes de los gitanos en su proceso de integración sociocultural. Esta creencia, venida de Francia, que inició su recorrido en una ciudad leridana, ha comportado cambios culturales, identificaciones y, en consecuencia, divisiones internas. Desde esta base y con una breve introducción desde la sociología de la religión, se presentan los resultados de un estudio realizado en las provincias de Lleida y huesca sobre la evolución, los cambios y conflictos que ha provocado este movimiento religioso en el seño de la comunidad gitana.
