Qui se´n recorda de Barbiana avui?

Abstract

Se hace una reseña del libro 'Carta a una maestra', escrito por alumnos y publicado en 1969 con el objetivo de adaptar su argumento a la situación de la escuela del s. XXI. El contenido del libro es una revulsión contra el sistema educativo italiano en boca de alumnos de la época en que fue escrito. A continuación se explica la vida de Lorenzo Milani, creador de la escuela Barbiana, y se comenta la metodología de trabajo desarrollada en dicha escuela. Se comenta el perfil socioeconómico de los alumnos que acudían a Barbiana así como las condiciones que dieron lugar a la redacción del libro reseñado. Finalmente, se hace una valoración final del libro y se reflexiona sobre el sistema educativo de principios del s. XXI, en el que se cuestiona el grado de satisfacción que puedan tener los alumnos respecto a aquello que realmente esperan de la escuela.
