Abstract

Se describen las pirámides de Nubia, México, América Central aunque la mayor cobertura se da a tumbas egipcias. Además de compartir información sobre lo que se sabe sobre las pirámides de Egipto, también menciona los enigmas, sin resolver, acerca de ellas: el número de trabajadores que las construyeron, cómo se trasladaron las piedras; en ocasiones, el autor hace conjeturas acerca de por qué se hicieron las cosas o la forma en que la gente sentía. La mayoría de las páginas tienen recuadros de información para señalar conceptos específicos. Hay un glosario.
