El presente trabajo aporta un conjunto de datos actualizados con la finalidad de identificar algunos rasgos de la educación primaria en Mallorca. Identifica también algunas de las preocupaciones y perspectivas de futuro, a corto y medio plazo, a partir de los datos recogidos, de los retos que tiene planteados la educación primaria y de algunas de las experiencias innovadoras que se están desarrollando en nuestra isla.
