Americanos y escuelas : una aproximación al patrocinio indiano en las construcciones escolares en Asturias

Abstract

Dentro de las múltiples consecuencias que tuvo en Asturias la emigración al Continente Americano, una de las más destacadas fue la construcción de escuelas por parte del colectivo americano. El presente trabajo, tras analizar de forma somera sus causas y la cuantificación de los edificios escolares construidos, aborda la labor desarrollada por los llamados indianos o americanos dividiéndola en tres ámbitos: individual, colectiva y asociativa.
